Ken Dill to Lead New Laufer Center
Ken A. Dill, Distinguished Professor of Biophysics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Associate Dean of Research in the School of Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco, has been named Founding Director of The Louis and Beatrice Laufer Center for Physical and Quantitative Biology at Stony Brook University.
Stony Brook University and Brookhaven National Laboratory comprise the New York Center for Computational Sciences (NYCCS), a cooperative effort between the two institutions . The centerpiece of NYCCS is New York Blue, an 18 rack Blue Gene/L and 2 rack Blue Gene/P .
